New Delhi, May 3 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested an absconding accused Kaptan alias Tanna, identified as a key associate of the Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang, in connection with a high-value extortion case registered in the Chhawla area, officials said today.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Harsh Indora said, "The arrest of the accused is a result of sustained technical surveillance and coordinated efforts by our team. He played a crucial role in facilitating the conspiracy, including arranging illegal arms, and had been evading arrest by frequently changing locations."According to police, the accused was allegedly involved in a case where a businessman was threatened with death and asked to pay Rs 2 crore.
