Mexico City, July 17 -- Hernan Crespo has been appointed head coach of Atlas for Mexico's new Liga MX Apertura season, the club said.
The 51-year-old replaces fellow Argentine Diego Cocca, who parted ways with the Guadalajara-based team earlier this month.
"His leadership, experience, and understanding of football make him the ideal profile to head this project," Atlas said in a statement on its official website on Thursday.
