Imphal, Aug. 3 -- Tea stalls, roadside eateries, small workshops, and crowded market lanes across Manipur's Noney district came under close scrutiny this week, as local authorities launched a coordinated campaign to identify and rescue children working in violation of the law, timed to coincide with the World Day Against Child Labour.
The Pan Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign Against Child Labour was officially launched by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Noney, operating under the Centre's Mission Vatsalya framework - the government's umbrella child protection scheme that funds and coordinates rescue, rehabilitation, and care services for vulnerable children nationwide.
