Kakinada, Aug. 3 -- The CPI(M) on Monday opposed the reported move to shift the proposed Ayurveda College attached to the Ayush Hospital in Kakinada to Pithapuram and demanded immediate inauguration of the hospital, which it said had remained idle despite being constructed with Central government funds.
A delegation of the CPI(M) district committee submitted a memorandum, signed by over 1,000 people, to District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad during the public grievance programme, urging the government to operationalise the Ayush Hospital without further delay.
The party also expressed concern over reports that the land earmarked for the proposed Ayurveda College could be allotted to private entities in the name of tourism development....
