Hyderabad, April 13 -- CPI MLC Nellikanti Satyam on Monday urged the State Government to immediately address the demands of electricity artisan workers, warning that the ongoing indefinite strike could disrupt power supply and inconvenience the public.
In an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Satyam expressed strong support for the artisan workers employed in power utilities, including TSTRANSCO, TSGENCO, TGSPDCL, and TGNPDCL, who have been on strike since April 8, 2026.
He criticised the government for its "adamant attitude" towards workers who have been serving for over two decades, alleging that earlier assurances of regularisation made in 2017 were not fulfilled. He also objected to the introduction of separate service rul...
