Lucknow, June 9 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) CPI(ML) on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the continuing rise in inflation across the country and has demanded that the Central Government immediately announce special economic relief measures to ease the burden on ordinary people.

The party claimed that the recent increase of Rs 29 in the price of domestic LPG cylinders, the reduction in the number of subsidized cylinders under the Ujjwala Scheme from nine to four, the continued rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas, and the increasing cost of food items, including rice, have severely affected household budgets.
