Chennai, Sept. 8 -- The CPI-M, which along with CPI, had been extending outside support to the Vijay government, on Tuesday decided not to take part in the second meeting of the ruling TVK partners tomorrow to give final shape to the alliance with a new nomenclature to the Front, while pledging its continued support to the regime.

CPM State secretary P Shanmugam told reporters here that since the CPI-M was not part of the government, it has decided not to participate in tomorrow's meeting and that it would be conveyed to the senior TVM Ministers.

It may be noted that both the left parties, having two MLAs each, had stayed away from the first meeting of TVK allies on July one, on the same grounds, while committing its unconditional support...
