Kozhikode, March 19 -- BJP's former Kerala secretary CK Padmanabhan on Thursday described the CPI-M, which heads the Left Democratic Front government in the state, as a "smouldering volcano".

Inaugurating the election committee office of the BJP Kozhikode North constituency candidate Navya Haridas at Erangipalam, Padmanabhan said when the last vestigate of Communism has gone from the world, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the party's state secretary MV Govindan are trying to look after their own interests.

"The volcano called CPI-M is about to erupt. It will erupt soon," he said.
