Hyderabad, March 20 -- The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee on Friday criticised the 2026-27 State Budget, alleging significant cuts in allocations to key welfare sectors affecting the poor, Dalits, farmers, and other vulnerable groups.

In a statement, the party said that despite presenting a budget of Rs 3.24 lakh crore, a substantial portion of the previous budget remained unspent, raising concerns that the current budget may follow a similar trend. It accused the government of reducing allocations to crucial sectors such as agriculture, irrigation, housing, power, and Dalit welfare.
