Hyderabad, Oct. 7 -- The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee on Wednesday demanded immediate withdrawal of the proposed Rs 7,635 crore 'true-up' charges and electricity tariff hikes, warning that the move would burden common people and the middle class.

In a statement, CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley said the proposed hike of 30 paise per unit from November and 50 paise from December would further strain consumers already facing rising prices.
