Hyderabad, May 11 -- Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) Telangana State Secretary John Wesley on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that his speech at a public meeting in Hyderabad had disappointed the people of Telangana.
In a statement, John Wesley said the Prime Minister failed to address key issues concerning the state, including the Bayyaram Steel Factory, granting national project status to the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, implementation of 42 percent reservations for Backward Classes, and the reduction in central funds to Telangana.
He alleged that Modi's remarks suggesting that the state should "team up" with the BJP for development were against the spirit of the Constitution and cooperative federalism...
