Hyderabad, May 26 -- The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee on Tuesday strongly condemned the alleged attempts by Andhra Pradesh police to arrest political analyst and Professor Nageshwar, describing the move as undemocratic and an attack on freedom of expression.
In a statement, CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley said the party was closely monitoring the developments and warned of "serious repercussions" if Professor Nageshwar is arrested.
He stated that several prominent political analysts, journalists, and former legislators had also condemned the action and opposed any attempt to silence intellectual voices.
