Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Saturday called upon people to resist what it termed conspiracies of American imperialism, as Red Book Day was observed across Telangana to mark the publication of the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels on February 21, 1848.

Addressing a gathering at the party's State centre at the Sundarayya Knowledge Centre here, CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley said the Communist Manifesto continues to serve as a guiding force in the struggle against imperialist exploitation and asserted that socialism remains the only path forward for the world.
