New Delhi, March 20 -- CPI leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sandosh Kumar P on Friday criticised the sealing of the United News of India (UNI) office in the national capital, terming it an attack on press freedom and democratic rights.
In a statement, Kumar alleged that journalists were manhandled during the operation and that employees were not allowed to collect their belongings.
He also raised concerns over the manner in which the action was carried out, questioning its adherence to legal and procedural norms.
The CPI leader further alleged misuse of state power and called for accountability in the matter.
