Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- CPI Telangana State Council Assistant Secretary ET Narasimha on Wednesday accused the BJP-led Central government of compromising the country's sovereignty and urged people to unite against what he termed the anti-people policies of the Narendra Modi government.

The CPI organised a padayatra in the Jubilee Hills division of Khairatabad constituency to protest against the alleged failures of the BJP government. The march began at Film Nagar and proceeded towards Gurubrahma Nagar after party leaders paid tributes to Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Dr B R Ambedkar and Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram.
