Srinagar, Oct. 15 -- A one-day UT-level conference on preparations for Phase-II of Population Enumeration under Census 2027, excluding snow-bound areas, was held at the Civil Secretariat here on Thursday to review the arrangements and coordination required for the smooth conduct of the exercise in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the conference was co-chaired by Census Principal Census Officer (CPCO) and Director Census Operations (DCO) for J&K and Ladakh, Amit Sharma, and Secretary Planning, J&K, Mohd Owais Ahmed. This conference was organised by the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, J&K, in collaboration with the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K and Ladakh.
