Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- A Special Court for MPs and MLAs in Bengaluru has ordered a preliminary inquiry into allegations of irregularities involving the Siddhartha Vihar Trust, putting a complaint naming AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge and others under judicial scrutiny.

The court, however, stopped short of ordering a police investigation at this stage and directed that the complaint be examined through a preliminary inquiry on August 28.

The complaint, filed by Lanchamukta Karnataka Nirmana Vedike, alleges irregularities in the allotment of an industrial site to the trust and seeks scrutiny of its other transactions.
