Patna, June 15 -- Additional District and Sessions Judge Gaurav Singh on Monday granted regular bail to Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute, who had been lodged in jail in connection with an alleged assault on a security guard at Khan Global Studies.
After hearing both sides, the court allowed the regular bail application and ordered his release. During the hearing, Anand''s counsel argued that his client was innocent and sought his release on bail. The prosecution opposed the plea.
Earlier, Judicial Magistrate First Class Anurag Verma had rejected Anand''s regular bail plea. Challenging that order, his lawyer subsequently moved the sessions court for relief.
