Patna, June 23 -- A special CBI court on Tuesday sentenced three postal department employees, including a senior postmaster, to three years of rigorous imprisonment in a corruption and embezzlement case.
Special CBI Judge Mohammad Rustam also imposed a fine of Rs 12 lakh on each of the convicts.
Those convicted are Senior Postmaster of Chhapra Head Post Office Rajeshwar Paswan, postal assistant Jayshankar Ojha and postal assistant Jugal Kishore under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code.
