Varanasi, Oct. 26 -- Passengers traveling between the religious and cultural city of Kashi and the national capital, New Delhi, may receive the country's second sleeper Vande Bharat Express on October 31.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is expected to flag off the train from platform number 8 of Varanasi Railway Station.
Official announcement about the train is yet to be made by the Railways.
Preparations are underway to operate this new train before Diwali and the Chhath festival. It is expected to benefit passengers from Purvanchal region in particular.
