Pune, March 26 -- During the discussion on the Pune Municipal Corporation's Budget for 2026-27, corporator Harshvardhan Mankar strongly raised several crucial issues related to the city's development, while emphasising the urgent need to expedite the long-pending Shivsrushti project.
Highlighting the project, Mankar said the concept of Shivsrushti at the Kothrud garbage depot site was originally proposed by former Deputy Mayor Deepak Mankar. He noted that although a resolution was passed and budgetary provisions were made every year, there has been no concrete progress at the government level. He urged immediate action, recalling Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' assurance on the project in the BDP zone.
