Siliguri, July 29 -- West Bengal Tourism and Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh on Wednesday appealed to people to cooperate with the government in its efforts to establish the rule of law, warning that those involved in illegal construction, land encroachment and unauthorised commercial activities would facestrict action.
"When the government is trying to establish the rule of law, please extend your cooperation," Ghosh said while addressing a press conference at his newly inaugurated public service centre in his Assembly constituency.
Describing the present situation in Siliguri, the minister alleged that there had been "massive violations of building rules" across the city.
