Bengaluru, June 9 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing it of shedding "crocodile tears" over former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda despite allegedly working against him throughout his political career.
Targeting Karnataka Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala and KPCC President B.K. Hariprasad, Vijayendra said Congress leaders need not express concern for Deve Gowda, claiming the party had played a key role in his removal from the Prime Minister's post and had repeatedly sought to weaken and divide his party.
"Congress leaders seem to have forgotten that the party bears the ignominy of bringing down Deve Gowda from the country's highest office despite his stature...
