Shimla, May 19 -- Himachal Praadesh government's Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania on Tuesday said the Congress party's impressive performance in the recent ULB elections reflected public backing for the welfare and development agenda of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Addressing a press conference here, Pathania expressed gratitude to the people of the state for extending overwhelming support to Congress-backed candidates in several Nagar Parishads and Nagar Panchayats.
He termed the mandate a clear endorsement of the government's "Vyavastha Parivartan" agenda and said the present dispensation had focused on bringing meaningful reforms rather than limiting itself to routine administration.
