Nagpur, June 26 -- : The Maharashtra Congress has sought an inquiry into a speech delivered by newly appointed Nagpur Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil at a programme organised by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, alleging that his remarks praising the RSS have raised concerns over his political neutrality and adherence to service conduct rules.

The demand follows the circulation of an undated video on social media showing Nangare Patil addressing a Hindu Sammelan organised by the Hindu right-wing group.

The IPS officer was posted as Nagpur Police Commissioner earlier this week.
