New Delhi, Aug. 20 -- The Congress on Thursday urged the Election Commission of India to immediately suspend the processing of disputed Form-7 objections and consequent deletion of names from electoral rolls in Uttarakhand, alleging that the mechanism was being misused on a large scale during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
In a representation to the ECI, the Congress alleged that a limited number of individuals were filing an unusually high number of Form-7 objections seeking deletion of genuine voters.
