Nagpur, May 17 -- Stepping up the attack on the Centre over the alleged NEET paper leak, senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, Vijay Wadettiwar on Sunday held the government responsible for the controversy and sought accountability from union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Describing the alleged leak as a serious lapse, Wadettiwar termed it a "failure of the government" and expressed concern over the impact of recurring examination controversies on students' futures.
Backing concerns earlier raised by Rahul Gandhi, he alleged that repeated irregularities in competitive examinations have created uncertainty for lakhs of aspirants across the country.
