Nagpur, Sept. 25 -- Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe Patil on Friday demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging that the Election Commission's conduct had raised serious questions about its impartiality.
Speaking to a section of media, Londhe claimed that if Gyanesh Kumar had any sense of honour, he should resign from his post immediately .
He further alleged that if the ruling BJP continued to defend him, it would reinforce concerns about the relationship between the government and the Election Commission.
Referring to an Election Commission notice issued in Kerala, Londhe alleged that it bore indications of BJP influence and said the matter warranted a thorough investigation.
