New Delhi, March 30 -- Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Monday criticised the government's reported move to fast-track Constitution amendment Bills, alleging that they are being "bulldozed through" on misleading grounds related to the Census timeline.

In a post on X, Ramesh said the justification that Census results would not be available until 2029 was incorrect. "Constitution amendment Bills are being sought to be bulldozed through in the next few days on the grounds that Census results will not be available since 2029. This information given by the RG&CCI proves that these grounds are false," he said.
