New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Monday demanded that Haryana be declared the host or co-host state for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, asserting that the state has consistently produced the country's highest number of medal winners and therefore deserved to stage the prestigious sporting event.
Hooda, along with fellow Haryana Members of Parliament-Congress MP Jai Prakash (JP), Congress MP Varun Mullana, Congress MP Satpal Brahmachari and Congress MP Karmbir Bauddh-staged a protest in the Parliament complex to press the demand.
