Bhopal, July 20 -- Congress MLA from Bhopal, Atif Aqueel, on Monday displayed placards outside the Madhya Pradesh Assembly protesting the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), even as the Dr Mohan Yadav-led BJP State Government is all set to table the bill in the Assembly.
The Assembly's monsoon session began today, and Atif Aqueel displayed placards with slogans written on them, opposing the UCC.
He said that any interference with the constitution drafted by Baba Saheb Ambedkar would be opposed.
