Hyderabad, Oct. 27 -- Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency Congress in-charge and former DCC president Mohammed Waliullah Sameer on Tuesday accused AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi of diverting Muslim voters from Rahul Gandhi's nationwide campaign against alleged vote chori by shifting the debate towards community-specific political leadership in Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement, while reacting to Owaisi's recent speeches in Azamgarh and Rampur, where he urged Muslims to develop their own political leadership instead of depending on Gandhi-Nehru or Yadav leadership, Sameer said protecting voters' names on electoral rolls should be the immediate priority.
