Shimla, May 19 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, alleging that the Congress government was presenting "false and exaggerated" victory figures in the urban local body elections to influence the upcoming Panchayati Raj polls.

Addressing party workers during his visit to the Seraj Assembly constituency in Mandi district, Thakur claimed that the Congress was trying to mislead the public after suffering a major setback in the civic body elections.
