Mumbai, April 7 -- The Congress party has strongly countered remarks made by Parth Pawar, the son of Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, regarding the Baramati Assembly by-election, stating that his criticism of the party reflects political immaturity.

Parth Pawar had earlier claimed that Congress would face statewide consequences for fielding a candidate in the Baramati constituency, which fell vacant following the January 28 air crash death of former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
