Suryapet (Telangana), May 29 -- Telangana BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao on Friday launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing the Congress of opportunistic politics and asserting that it has no moral right to invoke the legacy of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR).
Addressing the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Abhiyan here, Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress was changing its political narrative to suit different vote banks.
He claimed that the party had begun invoking NTR's name to attract Andhra-origin voters ahead of the forthcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
