Khammam, July 9 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday said the Congress government's primary objective was to strengthen agriculture and make farming a profitable and sustainable activity, announcing that Rs 9,000 crore would be released to farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme within just nine days.
After inspecting arrangements for the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha to be held at Jagannadhapuram in Chinthakani mandal of Khammam district, Bhatti said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Cabinet colleagues would attend the programme on Friday and release the final instalment of Rs 1,900 crore directly into farmers' bank accounts.
