Shimla, May 20 -- BJP chief spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal on Wednesday criticised the Himachal Pradesh government and the administration of Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital over the reported increase in food charges for patients and attendants, alleging that the Congress government was burdening even those undergoing medical treatment.

Jamwal said government hospitals were centres of public service and not "profit-making establishments". He accused the state government of showing insensitivity towards poor and middle-class families dependent on government healthcare institutions.
