Hyderabad, July 18 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the Congress government has accorded unparalleled honour to people's poet and Telangana movement icon Dr. Ande Sri by fulfilling every promise made to his family.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for Ande Sri Smriti Vanam and his statue at Ghatkesar along with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the poet's birth anniversary, Bhatti said the government had provided a lecturer's post at BJR Degree College to Ande Sri's son Dattu, initiated the printing of 20,000 copies of his poetry collection Nippula Vaagu, and recommended his name for the Padma Shri award.
