Nahan, May 20 -- BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal on Tuesday claimed that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh was "breathing its last" and asserted that the BJP would soon come to power in the state.

He said the BJP's historic success in the municipal elections had made it clear that the Congress government, which had "collapsed the system," was certain to be voted out.

Speaking during campaign events for BJP-backed Zila Parishad candidate Promila Sharma from Trilokpur Ward No. 12 in Nahan, Bindal alleged that the Congress government had failed to carry out development works during its three-and-a-half-year tenure and had shut down several public welfare institutions opened under the previous BJP administration.
