Shimla, June 24 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the appointment of Nigam Bhandari as District Congress Committee (DCC) president of Kinnaur and Hari Krishan Himral as DCC president of Shimla Rural in Himachal Pradesh after prolonged consultations, ending suspense and speculations.
The appointments bring to an end a nearly six-month-long process that began in January this year when the All India Congress Committee announced DCC chiefs for 11 districts, while keeping Kinnaur and Shimla Rural pending for further consultations.
