Hyderabad, June 27 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Media Committee Chairman Sama Rammohan Reddy on Saturday alleged that valuables belonging to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir had been stolen and demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Rammohan Reddy alleged that ornaments, cash from the temple donation box, silver bricks and other valuables worth around Rs 200 crore had been misappropriated within three years of the temple's construction.
He accused BJP leaders of betraying the faith of devotees of Lord Ram and claimed that even the deity's diamond necklace and footwear had been stolen.
