Hyderabad, July 1 -- TPCC Working President T Jagga Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government take responsibility for the alleged theft at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, accusing the BJP of remaining silent on an issue that had shaken the faith of devotees.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Jagga Reddy said devotees make offerings at the temple with deep faith and alleged that neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor union Home Minister Amit Shah had responded to the incident.
He claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had reacted immediately by constituting a committee of MPs to visit Ayodhya and assess the situation.
