Chandigarh, March 30 -- In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves through the political circles of Punjab, Parminder Tiwari, the Congress Block President of Machhiwara, was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants on Sunday evening.
The attack occurred around 6:30 PM at Takhran village in the Machhiwara area of Ludhiana district, while Tiwari was seated outside his rented quarters. According to eyewitnesses, two men approached him from behind and struck him repeatedly on the head with an axe, leaving him in a pool of blood before fleeing the scene and abandoning the weapon.
