Patna, March 5 -- The Congress on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has never been sincere towards its allies, claiming that the party has politically sidelined Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and is now attempting to eliminate the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] from the state's political landscape.

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) President Rajesh Ram told media persons here that the BJP had effectively ended Nitish Kumar's political role by compelling him to move to the Rajya Sabha.

He said the sudden decision to send Kumar to the Upper House exposed the BJP's own election slogan - "Pachis se tees, phir se Nitish" - raised during the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
