New Delhi, May 12 -- The Congress on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP and the Election Commission of India over key appointments in West Bengal, alleging "brazen collusion" between the ruling party and the poll body.

Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh alleged that former Chief Election Officer Manoj Agarwal and senior bureaucrat Subrata Gupta had been rewarded with top posts in West Bengal after allegedly helping the BJP gain electoral advantage through manipulation of electoral rolls.
