Jaipur, Aug. 4 -- National Students union of India (NSUI) leader Shubham Revad, on Tuesday further hardened his stance by shunning water intake on the 13th day of his fast, demanding student union elections in colleges.
The NSUI leader, whose hunger strike to press for holding elections to student unions in colleges and universities continued at the SMS Hospital, announced "Besides food and medicines, I shall not drink water until the government concedes the demand".
Revad was removed from his hunger strike venue at the Rajasthan University campus by the police for admitting to the hospital on July 30, following deterioration in his health.
