Bengaluru, May 25 -- Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday warned that Congress office bearers who skipped the party's two-day conclave on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls would be removed from their posts.
Addressing reporters in Bengaluru, Shivakumar said strict action would be taken against those absent from the conclave, which the Congress has organised to prepare its strategy ahead of the SIR exercise scheduled to begin from June 20.
"I have been issued directions to remove the office bearers who have not come. Attendance will be checked and they will be removed. Those not interested in party work will be removed from their post," he said.
