Bengaluru, March 17 -- MLAs and MLCs of the ruling Congress in Karnataka on Tuesday met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha, pressing for ministerial berths for some legislators amid intensifying internal demands for a Cabinet expansion.
The delegation included senior leaders NA Harris, K Balakrishna, Naseer Ahmad, Appaji Nadagowda and Narayanaswamy, who urged the Chief Minister to accommodate more legislators in the ministry.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of growing pressure within the party, with over two dozen MLAs recently pushing for a Cabinet expansion, citing the long wait since the formation of the government.
