Bengaluru, July 24 -- Congress on Friday launched a comprehensive organisational overhaul in Karnataka, with the party high command stepping in to restructure its district units as part of an ambitious strategy to strengthen the organisation from the grassroots ahead of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) elections, local body polls and the 2028 Assembly elections.

AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala are arriving in Bengaluru to personally oversee the exercise, signalling the importance the party leadership has attached to rebuilding its organisational machinery despite being in power in the state.
