Bengaluru, Aug. 3 -- Karnataka's cabinet expansion descended into fresh controversy on Monday after a major embarrassment for the Congress high command, which first included MLA Mankal S Vaidya in its official list of new ministers before abruptly dropping his name in a revised list, blaming the episode on a "typing error".
The unprecedented mixup, coming at the climax of a politically sensitive cabinet exercise, triggered outrage among Vaidya's supporters and the fishing community, who accused the party of denying coastal Karnataka representation in the ministry.
